The Houston Texans continue to add offensive pieces, signing Devin Singletary to a one-year deal. The move isn’t a great one from a fantasy standpoint, at least for Singletary and Dameon Pierce. While the latter will continue to lead the team in backfield touches, Singletary is good enough to pry some work away from him.
Singletary has never been a fantasy star, a late season stretch in 2021 when he averaged 20.9 points in four games including the fantasy postseason. In all, he’s never averaged more than 11.6 points per game in a season where he’s played in at least 16 contests. To his credit, he has caught at least 38 passes in each of the last three seasons and has had over 1,000 scrimmage yards in 2021 and ‘22.
