Raheem Sterling will not be on the Christmas card list of many Liverpool fans due to his controversial move to Manchester City in 2015.
The 23-year-old departed for the Reds’ North-West rivals for a fee in the region of £50m, but it ended up being a messy divorce.
Since then, the attack-minded star, who predominantly plays on the right wing, has gone on to win the League Cup and Premier League title.

Due to the acrimonious split, some Liverpool supporters took joy in watching Sterling miss a handful of chances while playing for England against Sweden at the World Cup.
On Saturday, the high-profile star found himself with just the goalkeeper to beat on two occasions across the 90 minutes, but he was too hesitant and the goalscoring opportunities went begging.
A criticism that some Liverpool fans have always used to describe Sterling is that his finishing is poor.

The England star has pace and trickery, but the final product can sometimes be lacking.
A section of Liverpool supporters were quick to point this out on Twitter.
