Stefano Pioli’s Fiorentina took the lead through Rolando Mandragora, who scored from a direct free kick outside Como’s penalty area. Marc-Oliver Kempf then equalised with a header from a floated set-piece delivery. Just when the match looked set to end 1-1, substitute Jayden Addai struck in the penultimate minute to give Como a 2-1 victory.

Fabregas spoke to his players after the game, asking them to be fearless and to have mutual trust.
"If we play like this, believe me, believe in what I see. I see good things. We'll move forward, but we must be proud," he said. Como sit seventh in the Serie A table with two wins and a draw from four games. The Italian side, who finished an impressive 10th last season in Fabregas’ maiden Serie A campaign, have continued to defy their doubters this season. However, Fabregas has urged fans to be patient, noting that his young side, who drew their previous game 1-1 against Genoa with an average age of 25, are still developing and expectations should be managed accordingly.
