Relations between Gyokeres and Sporting appear to have hit a low as speculation over a summer exit continues. Gyokeres has been left "furious" by Sporting's decision to go back on a transfer promise that he could leave for £60 million (€70m), with the club now demanding £70m (€83m). According to Record, Gyokeres has responded by telling the club he feels disrespected and has threatened to go on strike. The forward reportedly won't return for pre-season, as things stand, and may have already played his last game for the club.

The news may go down well with Premier League clubs as the race to land the striker continues. Manchester United have made an initial approach for the striker in a move that would see him reunited with former Sporting boss Ruben Amorim. Arsenal and Chelsea are also believed to be admirers of the 26-year-old.
